The World Land Trust is an international conservation charity based in Halesworth, Suffolk which is working to preserve the world’s most biologically important and threatened lands. This has included helping with the purchase and protection of over 375,000 acres of habitats rich in wild life in Asia, Central and South America and in the United Kingdom. Marshall of Cambridge recently spearheaded the Cambridge Rainforest Appeal to enable the World Land Trust to fund the purchase of a key wild life corridor in Borneo. This Appeal raised over £200,000 and the land purchased in expected to secure the future of approximately 600 orangutans, a critically endangered species, and prevent the release of 94,000 tonnes of carbon emissions.
